Sooo, by now most have you have probably heard that Carter and I accidentally got on the wrong plane leaving Portland on our way back home to Boise...so to spare you the blog that never ends (as this post is already a mile long with pictures) I'll share the condensed version:
1: We were waiting at our gate sharing french fries, a plane pulled up unloaded passengers, and then started boarding...I didn't even think to check the time or flight number, we were at the right gate for our flight, just about 45 mins early...at the gate, the employee didn't scan our boarding pass which would have alerted them that we were on the next flight (how many times have I seen people do that and chuckled at their absent mind!)
2: Many of the flights I've been on to Boise are actually flights going to SLC or Vegas -just stopping off in Boise to unload a few passengers-SO I didn't think anything of it when the attendants kept talking about landing in SLC...(my brain inserted... "with a stop off in boise" every time they ommited that from their announcements over the intercom)
3: I finally got nervous enough to check the time...3:32 pm...then realized that my flight was supposed to leave at 3:35pm, and we'd been in the air for an hour already...I was SO EMBARASSED, I dreaded calling the attendant over to discuss the situation. They looked at me like I was a crazy lady or a bimbo, and than they almost panicked "HOW DID YOU EVEN GET ON THIS PLANE?" So I explained what happened, of course they took responsibility for it, brought me a box of tissues; mind you I only asked for a second for a mini melt down, and really wasn't crying, but they were convinced I was gonna lose it! They tried to give me a cocktail and kept reassuring me that the pilot called ahead to the terminal to have a custmer service rep meet me at the gate....
4: Well lets just say all hope of flying to Boise was out, and I was in a bit of a pickle with car rentals, no one wanted to rent one way....So I started racking my brain for people I might know in Utah that had a carseat...seeing as how my bags and carseat that got checked were in Boise, it was a good thing John was there waiting to pick us up,.......at least he got our bags!!! Let's just say thank goodness we have some VERY good friends who were willing to drive an hour and a half to pick us up! John was missing us too much, so he drove the almost 6 hours from Boise to Tremonton to pick us up, only to turn around to go home and arrive there at about 1 am....WHAT A DAY!
5: There was so much other HOOPLA that happened on our journey....good golly, it's just too much to share...lets just say there are a few things I learned from this little trial
1-Always check what time it is and what time your flight leaves before trying to board and make sure the gate attendant scans your boarding pass!
2-Always take more snacks than you think you need for a toddler...a 45 min flight may very well turn into a 2 hour flight!
3-Sometimes the most awesome things happen in the midst of chaos, like your baby taking her frist steps.....in the bathroom at the SLC airport!
4- Sometimes the experiences we have are just to teach us not to make the same mistake again!

MOVIE NIGHT!
"We should make a candy salad...you know, we can get a bowl, put all of the different candy in it, and stir it up to make a candy salad for us all to share!"
1 box of Dots
1 box of Starburst
1 box of Mini Charleston Chews
Stir with wooden spoon in medium sized bowl until all candy is evenly distributed
Cuddle up on the living room floor, and dive in...enjoy the sugar while it lasts!!!
"CANDY"
Parker loves adventure, but also enjoy's being clean and safe NOTE: His hand is not actually touching the mule which he affectionately named "The little One" a fear of being kicked, slobbered on, bitten, head butted or even looked at crooked by the mule kept him at a very safe distance on our multiple daily encounters to talk to pet and feed the mules and horses.
Abrianna on the other hand is a girl after my own heart...where there were mud puddles she would jump, she would find the tallest grass to tromp through, she climbed the gate trying so hard to convince me she could ride the mules, and tried climbing a one ton bale of hay to jump off of....NOTE: She's actually touching the mule deemed "The Big Boss" and would probably have kissed him if I let her! I guess shoving her whole hand in his mouth just wasn't satisfactory!
BAHAHAHAHA! BHAHAHAHAH! BHABHAHAHA! I don't have words right now. I am just laughing so so so hard. I haven't laughed this hard in my life! I can't believe you actually got on to a plane headed for SLC! That is PURE craziness! I love the story though. I love the picture. I love YOU! And I MISS YOU! hahahahahah!
